Marketing Strategy

Would You Like an Effective Marketing Strategy?

Successful managers and owners identify the need they are fulfilling, and the customers they wish to service.

Then they find the ways to make those customers aware of the product or service.
One problem for many companies is that they’ve tried advertising and don’t know if it was worth it.
This happens for two reasons.
Firstly, they don’t have a way of measuring the results of their advertising.
Secondly, they confuse advertising with marketing!
Advertising is but a small proportion of your marketing efforts.

Marketing includes everything from pricing your product and promoting your services to creating and maintaining relationships with your customers. You don’t need to spend lots of money advertising to attract customers. One of the easiest ways to do this these days is through the web. This doesn’t mean just having a fancy and expensive webpage, it means projecting a human image online.

You may have heard the saying “People like to do business with people they know, like and trust”. Ideally, you should make use of all the social networking opportunities to develop this trust and to find your customers. The marketing plan is not a business plan. It is however your company roadmap for bringing your business strategies to fruition. It should contain your short and long term objectives, the strategies and actions you have chosen to implement, the schedule or program you wish to follow, the budget you can afford, the key performance indicators that will show you if it is working, and a plan to review it at regular intervals to fine tune and adjust it.
